00500		A computer simulation  of  paranoid  processes  involves  the
00600	construction  and  testing of a complex symbolic model. To understand
00700	such a model and its roles  it  is  necessary  to  grasp  the  symbol
00800	processing viewpoint. I have tried to spell out sufficient background
00900	knowledge for this viewpoint to aid the interested scientific reader.
